Comment: Ray Benson's Asleep At The Wheel is the Best Medicine
for whatever ails one. Just plop this baby on, and
you'll be dancing alone with your cat.
Sad yes, but its legal.
This band just keeps getting better and better in Life.
Thank God for Asleep At The Wheel.
It's a 5 star experience all the way around.

Comment: There is no finer country swing band than Asleep at the Wheel. They've recorded a ton on live CDs, but this one has their best-known material, and they're at the top of their game throughout. This is what live music - in any genre - is about. Highest marks.

Summary: Okay versions of great tunes 2002-01-17
Comment: I am a huge Asleep at the Wheel fan--even waiting hours in a crowded bar across the street from Wrigley Field to hear "There ain't nobody here but us chickens..."I find the live versions of their great songs just a bit worn around the edges. The vocals pushing to get a crowd excited but not adding much to the sound. It curiously lacks some of the verve and humor of their studio albums. Maybe you can only sing the Chickens song so many times... But if you want to fill out your AatW Collection, this album provides a good example of their material.
