Album Description
Comedian Ron "Tater Salad" White is best known as the cigar smoking, scotch drinking funnyman from the "Blue Collar Comedy" phenomenon. But with two Grammy® nominations, a Gold Record, two of the top rated one-hour specials in Comedy Central history, a book that appeared on the New York Times Best Seller List, and CD and DVD sales of over 10 Million units, Ron has established himself as a star in his own right.

Ron has always been a storyteller; from the time he was a boy growing up in a small town in the middle of Texas oil country to selling windows for a living in Arlington to performing in sold-out theaters and arenas as a headlining comedian all across the country. For two decades he lived the life of a struggling comedian bouncing around to comedy clubs and driving to gigs in his beat-up Nissan pickup truck. In short, he paid his dues.

From January 2000 through March 2003, Ron performed with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy in the highly acclaimed "Blue Collar Comedy Tour," a show that played to sold out audiences in over 90 cities and grossed over $15 million dollars. Warner Bros filmed the tour and "Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie" was released as a major motion picture in theaters in March 2003 later premiering on Comedy Central as the highest rated movie in the channel's history.

In November Ron taped his third one hour special "Behavioral Problems" in Seattle, WA. The special will premiere on Comedy Central April 19, 2009. The DVD and CD will be released on April 21st.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outrageously hysterical, October 10, 2009
This review is from: Behavioral Problems (Audio CD)
I couldn't agree with "Nutbar Extraordinaire" more. Ron White's "Behavioral Problems" is his funniest to date, and if you're already familiar with him, you'd already know he's a raunchy storyteller, so why complain? This is laugh-out-loud-funny stuff, I know, because listening at work on my iPod, my co-workers wanted to know why I was laughing so hard. His tales of the new Japanese toilets, parking attendant problems, vacationing in London (with his son, "Tater Tot"!!), visiting wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Hospital, and his answer to the economic crisis must be heard, and definitely stand up to repeated listenings. And his particular gaffes he makes while in performance he makes even funnier; drunk or not, this is one performer who can think on his feet.

So if you like fall-down-funny, raunchy stand-up comedy, there is no one better than the ol' Tater. Buy the DVD for the crib, and the CD for the car. You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny Stuff - Ron White is Hilarious, July 3, 2009
This review is from: Behavioral Problems (Audio CD)
The other reviewers must be new to Ron White. This performance contained the same subject matter as his previous materials. If they're offended by this type of material, then why did they purchase a CD/DVD by a comedian like Ron White in the first place?

If you know Ron White's style and material, you'll love this performance too. The subject matter isn't for everyone, but that's why we're in a free society...decide for yourself. :)

This performance was just as funny as his previous stuff. Definitely check it out! Or, even better, go see him live!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ron White: National Security Leader, November 26, 2010

Jeffery Sexton "book lover" (Cartersville/ Leesburg, GA, Aiken, SC USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This album is classic Ron White - drunken, raunchy debauchery that is HILARIOUSLY funny. (And, as another reviewer noted, he proves his ability to think on his feet while drunk better than many people's ability to do so while stone cold sober.)

One of the more interesting things about it though: In the "real" world, Ron White has now become a leader in National Security policy, with the Obama Administration noting that it intends to possibly change the "Heightened State of Awareness" system from its current 5 stage color coded design to a more streamlined two-stage system - exactly as Ron White proposed on this album.

While the Obama Administration is a joke unto itself (and the Bush one before it was just as bad), I think Mr. White has the funnier way of putting this new system, so just pick up this album and listen to him describe it! Along the way, you'll hear tales of a new toilet in Japan, London cab drivers, incorrect signs, stupid syndromes, and many...Read more
