Comment: I was hoping for a rollicking Mardis Gras celebration without the annoying vocals but this aint it.

Comment: What I am not, is an expert in Cajun Music. What I am an expert in, is knowing what I like. I do truly like this CD. My favorite selections are "O ye yai quoi Faire," as well as "Mulberry Waltz." All the others are terrific. Should you care for Cajun Music, please give it a shot. You will not be disappointed, I grant you.

Summary: Great Intro to Cajun Music 2001-02-23
Comment: For an outsider and occasional fan of cajun music, this collection of instrumental classics is, to me, a great start. This is the kind of music that makes me want to get rip-roaring drunk, eat crawdads and scream aaaiiiiiieeeeeee all night long. The music is uplifting, toe-tapping fun. It is the music of a sticky summer evening deep in the swamps of the southeast and conjures images of a much simpler, happier time. All in all its worth the $7.00.
