In the past bluegrass has gotten a bad rap for being out of tune and whiney. Well here's the real world of bluegrass, fine tuned, melodic, singable and soul stirring. These songs showcase some of the top Bluegrass artists of our time, Tim O'Brien singing Colleen Malone will have you joining in before it's over. Jerry Douglas will have your toes tapping and your heart dancing with the first cut,Shoulder to Shoulder. This is a real get down the road CD. It's one of my favorites for a long drive. I highly recommend Choice Picks for those who are thinking that they'd like to check out what Bluegrass music is and for those who are alreadly into it up to their guitar necks.

This CD has some really great cuts on it. My favorite is "Colleen Malone" by Hot Rize, but there are many other stand-outs. Unlike a lot of collections of various artists, there are no real dogs on the CD. I discovered several groups that were new to me, and I plan to purchase several CD's I wouldn't have even known about, thanks to CHOICE PICKS.

I picked up this CD today and have listened to it and already it is one of my favorites. You just can't go wrong with 20 award winning songs/artists/bands. If you are new to bluegrass, this is an excellent introduction. I am usually very vocal in my opinions about what is real bluegrass and what is not. Folks, this is pure, beautiful bluegrass by some of the best performers of the 90's. You must get this CD!
