bluegrass band in the land! This exellent group of yong artists just gets better and better with each recording! Woody Platt has never sounded better, as the lead vocalist, than he does on "The Mountain Gonna Sing". Just saw these guys last night with Steve Martin on his Denver leg of "The Crow" tour, and the SCR are outstanding!! Every member contributes - there are no prima donnas, and each had an opportunity to showcase their talent. Their fiddle player Nicky was one fire last night - one encore song was "Orange Blossom Special" and he played like nobody I've ever seen before! The other encore song was "King Tut" done bluegrass-style, and a fine rendition it was. I look forward to seeing where SCR goes in the future. If you have the chance to catch them live, I highly recommend it - especially if they're with Steve. Awesome musicians!! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
