Summary: The Minstrel of the Dawn 2007-11-15
Comment: I appreciate Lightfoot's musical ramblings. I even saw him play a few tunes at the Ryman. But I wish I'd seen him when he was first touring with these songs, on this album; he truly was the Minstrel of the Dawn+

Summary: My Favorite Lightfoot Album 2007-07-20
Comment: I have been a Gordon Lightfoot fan for 35 years. I first bought this album when it came out in 1972. I have all of his albums. This one is my absolute favorite. Every song on it is a winner. My favorites are "Don Quixote," "Beautiful," and "On Susan's Floor." This is a feel-good album for me. I listen to it and it reminds me of other good times listening to it over the years.

Summary: Solid Folk album 2007-06-17
Comment: Having been blown away by SUNDOWN, I was eager to pick up another Gordon Lightfoot album. DON QUIXOTE seemed like a good choice. This album is firmly rooted in folk (no drums here my friend) as evidenced in such songs as "Alberta bound" "Second Cup of Coffee" and "Brave Mountaineers"
The prime cuts for me on this album were "Don Quixote", "Ordinary Man" , and "Ode to Big Blue". Not as much variety as SUNDOWN but if you like folk, DON QUIXOTE is your album...enjoy!

Summary: I Cherish this CD! 2007-03-31
Comment: Simply put, this is a collection of incredibly beautiful songs. I marvel at a songwriter who can paint a vivid picture with words and music! An example of this is the song "Christian Island". How beautiful that song is! I can see it all in my mind's eye. The same can be said for "Alberta Bound". Mr. Lightfoot's song "Beautiful" must reach many with its themes of a deep, committed love. I'm sure many a listener can own those words as their own. In short, this is one of Gordon Lightfoot's best CD's. Thank you, Mr. Lightfoot.
