Turner recently finished recording his new album HAYWIRE with producer Frank Rogers. The first single, "Why Don't We Just Dance," is currently storming up the charts.

Summary: REFRESHING AND COUNTERCULCULTURAL! 2010-02-22
Comment: First, the technical stuff. Clear, crisp, sonically pleasing production. Musicianship and backing vocals of his band is outstanding. And everything showcases Josh's outstanding, speaker-rumbling baritone voice -- as it should. The songs are well-written, down-to-earth, and positive country extolling the values of love, faith, and family. In a culture where the default setting tends to focus on the "downside" of life, thank you, Josh (as well as Keith Urban and Taylor Swift), for giving us music that lifts up our spirits and makes us smile (like the great song "Your Smile")! Oh yes, get the deluxe edition. The extra tracks are Worth it!

Comment: Once again, the unmistakable sound of Josh Turner has created another monster selling album amongst country music fans. From the inital track through to the live "extras" at the end of the album, Josh manages to go from strenth to strength. If you are a country fan, then this album is a must.

Comment: If you liked any of Josh's previous albums, you will enjoy his latest "Haywire" as well. It includes a wonderful assortment of songs. You have beautiful love songs, fun upbeat songs, and a fabulous gospel song. Josh has such a one of a kind voice that sets him apart from all the other cookie cutter Country singers. He shows us not only does he hit those low notes like no one else can, but also has an amazing range.

It is hard to pick favorites because there are so many standouts on this album. But I will try anyway.

Your Smile - I have to add this as a favorite after hearing him sing it on Letterman.
