There has been a buzz in Music City since mid-2006 when Lady Antebellum performed together for the very first time. The trio- comprised of Hillary Scott (vocals), Charles Kelley (vocals), and Dave Haywood (vocals, acoustic guitar, keys)- says their name, "Lady Antebellum," represents a sense of nostalgia found in the songs they sing. "It felt like magic," says Hillary, remembering their first performance together, "We all felt more comfortable onstage together than we ever had alone." A year and a half later, the buzz on Lady Antebellum is as strong as it's ever been, and the rest of the nation will soon discover why. Hillary, Charles, and Dave, three young songwriter-musicians with varied influences and backgrounds, create a sound that is fresh and unique, yet still sounds like something you've known for a long time. The debut single, "Love Don't Live Here," is only the beginning for Lady Antebellum. The "Lady A" buzz is coming...April 15!

Summary: What a difference when production gives way to the art 2008-07-05
Comment: With such notables as Victoria Shaw and Paul Worley at the helm, is it any wonder Lady Antebellums' first effort is a refreshing offering.
Nashville for so long has run its course with boiler plate production schemes. Lady Antebellum has been allowed to shine by two notable veterans. Maybe there is hope for the Nash-Vegas. Well done!!

Summary: I'm not even a Country music fan, but this is a great album 2008-06-28
Comment: When my girlfriend told me she wanted me to hear a band she found, I wasn't too excited. She loves Country music and I'm more of an alternative rock guy; although, I can appreciate all talented artists.
This group has a great sound with simple, clear instruments and crisp vocals. Catchy lyrics too. Okay, I'll admit it ... I'm a fan.

Summary: Great CD 2008-06-20
Comment: I loved this entire CD. I purchased the CD because I liked the song "Love Don't Live Here" that I had heard on the radio. Many times when I purchase a CD I end up only liking the song I bought it for and maybe 1 other. That is not the case with this CD, I loved every song on it. I listen to it over and over and sing along in my car. I highly recommend this CD!

Summary: A nice mix of grit and grace. 2008-06-19
Comment: Endings begin many a country tale, and the casual kiss-off of Lady Antebellum's opener stays the course. Pushed by its repetitive, guttural, twangy riff, "Love Don't Live Here" gives a polite but firm boot to a fair-weather love who focused too long on her search for greener pastures. Trebly guitars abound, but Lady Antebellum hails from a harmony-heavy heritage (Little Big Town, Dixie Chicks, Eagles) that sweetens their bite a bit. Although its lyrics run a little to the pedestrian side, the band's one-female / two-male / three-vocal lineup keeps you from caring that you've heard many of these stories before. A nice mix of grit and grace.
