Comment: Love this CD! My husband is the big Vince Gill fan and I bought this CD for him for Valentine's Day. It made a fan out of me!

Comment: Let me start out by saying, that I too, love Vince Gill! Vince has always been a favorite of mine, in fact one of my most favorite Country Artists! He is the voice, of what TRUE Country Music is today! Because of this fact, I have purchased nearly EVERY album that this exceptional performer has ever issued! Imagine my anticipation to find that there was now, a NEW Vince Gill album, thus called "Love Songs"! Imagine my disapointment only to find that this is merely a "re-hashed", slapped-together compilation of songs, already issued from other albums! (For the record: you have 1 song each from "I Still Believe In You", "The Key", & "Pocket Full Of Gold", 2 songs each from "When Love Finds You", & "High Lonesome Sound", 3 songs from the massive box, "These Days" (2 from disc 2, 1 from disc 3), and 4 songs (4???) to probably make you discover what is perhaps his most "overlooked" album, "Let's Make Sure We Kiss Goodbye") LOVE SONGS???...it seems like every performer who is not putting out new music, re-assembles some previous tunes, and calls it "Love Songs"! (Clint Black, Trisha Yearwood, come to mind) Sorry....until a Brand new batch of tunes come out of the gate, this to me will always be "Souvenirs, Vol.2"!! The demand is there, the fan base is extremely loyal, and there's no doubting the talent is exceptional! C'mon Vince---play us some NEW TUNES!!!!

Comment: They didn't make him the President of the country music hall of fame for nothing. He's also a lifetime member . This man has been making awesome songs and playing on awesome disks since he was with Pure Prairie League with Emmy Lou Harris. He is gifted in everyway, vocally, instrumentally, song writing and has the looks and personality and most of all the humility to cement it all together. He is good and does not find it necessary to flaunt it. Moreover his ole lady is good looking too. what else can you say about a entertainer who is idolized by other entertainers and envied by all? He can't make a bad CD.

Comment: There's no doubt in my mind that Vince Gill is a very gifted performer; we are all better of for his sharing his talents with us. The song selection on this album is very good and the flow of the album works well. The quality of the sound on this disc is excellent and I like that artwork, too.

"One" is very good; Vince does this with great sensitivity and I'm very impressed. The musical arrangement fits perfectly with Vince's vocals and overall "One" is a terrific way to begin the CD! "That Friend of Mine" is most poignant especially with that piano; and there's a truly exquisite gem, "When Love Finds You." I really like "When Love Finds You;" it has Vince squarely front and center--and that's quite all right with me! "You and You Alone" charms me with its natural beauty; "You and You Alone" is certainly a major highlight of this album. I love that percussion along with the rest of the arrangement!

"Let's Make Sure We Kiss Goodbye" is brilliantly done; and "Faint of Heart" features a fine piano arrangement for this duet about the deeply romantic feelings that come with a passionate love affair. "The Luckiest Guy in the World" has creative key and tempo changes to enhance the number greatly. "The Rock of Your Love" has Vince singing this one without ever letting go of a single superfluous note!

"If I Didn't Have You in My World" lets Vince really open up and use his voice as an instrument to convey all the subtle nuances of the lyrics; it's an awesome song. "The Only Love" is easy on the ear and very touching; and listen also for "Given More Time." "Given More Time" uses the drums, percussion, guitar and more to make this number shine and I love it! "What They All Call Love" makes good use of the piano; and "Nothing Like a Woman" showcases Vince's singing ability that is so superior to many others out there. "Whenever You Come Around" is yet another passionate number that ends the CD strong--and it leaves me wanting more!

Vince Gill has released an excellent album of love songs. It's the perfect album for the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday or just anytime when two people celebrate their love for each other.

Comment: Vince Gill should be called "The Voice" of Country Music! This collection is geared towards the softer love songs and ballads that made Vince famous. This CD is the perfect gift as an introduction to Vince for the newcomer or longtime fan. This gift is even greater around the upcomong Valentines Day. "Love Songs" covers a decade and a half of vocal perfection! It is a must have for any Country Music, music or just plain ol' Vince Gill fan.
