The OTHER Nashville,
February 20, 2000 Mike Nicholson "Rock Daddy" (NC United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Nashpop: A Nashville Pop Compilation (Audio CD)
What a fine collection. Not a duff track in the bunch. Bill Lloyd's "Contact High" is transcendent. Owsley is simply one of the finest people in the melodic pop/rock world today. The Shazam are tip-top. Doug Powell, Millard Powers and Joe, Marc's Brother are all A+. Singer-songwriter! Bland! No way! This rocks.

Vapid Collection of re-tread,
December 21, 1999 Marcus Weaver (Santa Monica, CA) - See all my reviews

Much of the same old singer-songwriter predictable content. Nothing here stands out and that's precisely the problem with Nashville...conservative, predictable and clogged up with useless traditional brainlessness.
