Upon listening to Randy's 25th celebration album it isn't any wonder the man has amassed the
longevity and the friends that appear here on this album to help him celebrate his 25th year as a country music celebrity.
Each and every particpant shows their adoration in their vocals for being considered a friend as well as an invitee to share in the celebration with him.

I have to admit I was curious, and somewhat skeptical upon first learning about some of the biggest hits (and fan favorite) being done as duets would fair. I must say I am pleasently surprised at the freshness of each one. The pairing of artists, and the vocals are so well blended. That its like you're hearing the songs for the first time all over again !

"Forever, And Ever, Amen", with the Zac Brown Band, "Is It Still Over" with Carrie Underwood, "Promises" with Shelby Lynn, "He Walked On Water" with Kenny Chesney, "Diggin Up Bone s" with John Anderson. Each rendering is a highlight in...Read more

June 7 marks a special treat for Randy Travis fans. Not just an album of 17songs but a gift for every Randy Travis fan to savour. Two decades ago Randy released his award winning Duets album Heroes and Friends and now 21 years later, in fine vocal shape and joined by the biggest and best names in the industry, we have something special.
Fans familiar with the original `Few Old Country Boys' can enjoy a re-recording with Jamey Johnson and Randy who does his finest George Jones style phrasing (it's not actually GJ I do not think?). Although it lacks the opening dobro that worked so well on the original, this is a magnificent version. As a huge Jamey Johnson fan I had hoped for slightly more confident vocals from Jamey on this duet but maybe he is in awe of the great Randy who sings with much more passion on this one. Jamey picks it up a gear halfway through!
The album kicks off with the 100mph guitar, and vocals of Brad Paisley on `Everything And All' a fresh, original and...Read more

Randy, you've been too gone for too long! So thrilled for your gospel sound to grace my ears again, this time with a bevy of country friends. You've recreated the nostalgic tunes from my childhood just when I needed to hear them.

Included in the album are many good timing favorites. What a gift to have Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and George Jones coming on as strong as ever. The new school country cast also made their appearances with another from Carrie Underwood, Jaime Johnson and Josh Turner. Don't miss "A Better Class of Losers" with Alan Jackson or "Promises" with Shelby Lynne.

Every country fan who remembers dancing around the living room with Dad to "Forever and Ever, Amen" needs this album.
