Right off the bat I want to tell everyone that I give this CD/album 4 stars because...well, i'll explain: the year this album originally hit stores was in 1983. RCA issued the album after they dropped him from the label and he went on to Mercury {to release the very rare and obscure "ME" album}.
RCA, in whoever's wisdom, decided to showcase just TWO of his RCA recordings and the other eight songs were re-re-re-issues of his earlier hits and fan favorites. Only 1980's "Shriner's Convention" and the fan favorite "The Dooright Family" are genuine RCA material.
Again, the album came out in 1983 and they left off all but one of Ray's RCA hits. The omitted RCA material was "Night Games" (1980), "One More Last Chance" (1981), "Where The Sun Don't Shine" (1982), and "It's Written Down In My Heart" (1982). How the label could intentionally leave off chart hits that he had for them is a mystery.
