Like many, many other pick-ups of Ernie, this offers hymns with backup that includes the San Quentin prison choir, the Jordanaires, and a mixed choir of professional singers and friends. Great to listen to, but ends too soon. Maybe more of his work will be rereleased like Johnny Cash. Ernie sang in a day when people recorded albums not just singles. Its a shame that more of his work isn't available, but until then decent collections like this will have to keep us satisfied.

The Old-time favorite singer sings again! We used to listen to these recordings on Sunday mornings before going to church! Now we no longer have to use the old records but can have the pleasure of listening to the wonderful hymns on CD! The pleasure of listening never fades! This CD holds a variety of early and later hymns. A refreshingly interesting blend!

This was purchawed for a 93 year old lady and she was most excited to receive the C D, every song on this is truly wonderful as good Gospel music should be and by one of the legends of Country Gospel.
