Not exactly a country artist, since her records lack twang, and too casual and intimate to make for a standard-issue MOR pop performer, Anne Murray's phenomenally warm, smooth voice has nevertheless secured a lofty place for her in both categories--and has occasionally brought her into the mainstream (read: traditionally rock and soul dominated) pop arena. If you're not a fan, or much of a country enthusiast, it's her '70s pop hits that'll make the package worthwhile. "Snowbird" is here, as is "You Needed Me." If you are a fan, or are looking for songs that hit only on the country or Canadian charts, there'll be a lot of key stuff missing. Investigate the 3 CD Now and Forever collection. --Gavin McNett

Comment: For those song birds out there, this CD's for you, it's got great hits to sing in the car whenever you're down, happy, etc.
It was since I was a child growing up to listening to Anne Murray singing her hits on cassette, back in the 90's, now the 2000's to the year 08', now the device for Cds is blooming, the music that sound sweet to the ears of young and old, can enjoy The best..so far of Music legend, Anne Murray.

Summary: Anne Murray Big Fan 2008-10-30
Comment: When I saw this cd, I had to have it. Listening to Anne Murray singing is my all-time high. Her voice is so beautiful, and her songs on this cd are astounding. The love songs will melt you, as some of these have won her awards over the years. You will cry, get happy, wish you were there with her, and even sing along with her. It is a great pleasure to listen to one of the best vocals of this century.

Summary: Geat CD in a Beat Up Case 2008-10-28
Comment: I think this is Anne Murray's best CD. It has all her top songs on it. I purchased it for the song "You Needed Me", for a Father/Daughter dance at my daughter's wedding.
The CD case had multiple cracks in it when it arrived. I think it went out that way. Very annoying, but a pain to send back, so I kept it.

Comment: This is my favorite Anne Murray. If you like Anne Murray, you will recognize this as the best collection of her music. I also bought Anne Murray "Lovesongs" at the same time and feel my collection is pretty well complete!!
This is what I feel is the essential Anne Murray.
