Summary: If you don't know Shelby, you need to! 2008-09-07
Comment: I have been a fan for decades - and she continues to change and grow and still, I am a huge fan!!! In concert she is sheer perfection. One of those artist who sound the same in person as they do on CD. Buy all her albums...don't hesitate, you will enjoy them, especially good is this one and her latest with a nod to Dusty Springfield. Pure sounds from a talented performer.

Summary: Shelby has gone thru several stages......... 2008-08-24
Comment: ....country, sort of jazz, pop/rock...this album will give you an excellent overview. From the early country to the much heavier "I Am Shelby Lynne" she has displayed a clear, strong voice that is always a pleasure to hear. WOW. If you think I'm hooked, you're right. [All of that could be said of her kid sister, Allison Moorer...one family, two babes, alas one tragedy that has shaped them both].
I really don't know why Shelby isn't a bigger deal, with a ton of platinum records. Maybe it's what I said above...she's a pure singer who is really tough to classify. Still, what a dish, and what a voice!! I suppose my two favorites of hers are "Temptation" and "Identity Crisis", her most Blues/Jazz offerings. You really should have ALL her discs, but if you only can afford one record of a great singer, or if you're looking for an introduction, grab this; the girl can flat-out sing.

Summary: Remarkable Voice! 2007-03-27
Comment: Shelby has a remarkable voice of musical emotion when she sings. She can take the most "tired" song and sparkle new life in it. You won't be disapponited in adding this CD to your collection, no matter what your musical tastes are...
