you cannot go wrong with the Isaacs. It's hard to know where to begin to find a "favorite" cut on this, but "The Bells" would come very close. I loved the original version recorded by Jim Ed Brown many years ago, but this is absolutely wonderful! Their version of the Dottie Rambo classic, "Mama's Teaching Angels How To Sing" could be a mainstream country/bluegrass release and would probably be a hit. If you have never purchased anything from the Isaacs, this would be a super begining for your collection. If you already have their other recordings, you must add this one. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: The Isaacs Naturally: An Almost A Cappella Collection (MP3 Download) I'm a long time fan of The Isaacs music. Their ability to mix bluegrass/southern gospel/folk/country sounds to create musical masterpieces is not lost with this latest release. The almost acapella project has something for everyone. It's a must have for long time Isaacs fans and new fans alike. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: The Isaacs Naturally: An Almost A Cappella Collection (Audio CD) The Issacs have a unique sound. Their version of A Cappella is excellent. By singing A Capplella, it really highlights their talent. The song choices on this one are good but not up to par with their newest CD, "Naturally." We are really enjoying this CD. |
