Product Description
2-CD set of all previously unreleased tracks from the band that was led by Bill Kirchen and 'moonlighted' from Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen...later to become his backing group. It presents for the first time many popular mainstays of the live shows as well as some seldom heard, experimental studio recordings. This represents the early 'Rhythm & Western' sound of the group as well as the later four-man, skinny-tie, rock/pop outfit. Musicians of note: Richard Casanova, Steve Mackay, Austin de Lone, Tony Johnson, Tim Eschliman, Steve Fishell, Rick Higginbotham, Don Kennedy, James Henry and Mark Karan.

Summary: Moonlighters surprise. 2008-10-12
Comment: Being a giant Bill Kirchen fan, I couldn't pass on anything with his name on it. I have an old Moonlighters LP "Rush Hour" on Demon Records, which I liked.
The Missing Moonlighters -live / studio closet tapes (2 CD) is a great CD of a wide variety of styles. I was
amazed at this collection. Great songs by a great band in loose live atmoshere. If you are a fan of Kirchen with Commander Cody and Kirchen's many solo CDs, this is a must have.
I'd like to mention, I have seen him live and talked to him as a fan and he is one of my all time favorite artist. Nice guy, good songwriter and a great musician. Rock on wild Bill ! Hot Rod Lincoln Live!
