Summary: Great Memories 2008-11-04
Comment: I purchased this as a gift for my husband; his parents listened to Brother Dave years ago and my husband remembered the comedy routines from back then. My husband has thoroughly enjoyed listening to this over and over. It has brought back happy memories of the comedy routines and of his parents.

Summary: format of the CD 2008-01-25
Comment: The quality of the audio is good; however the CD does not have tracks so listening to it is very annoying because you can't go to the different titles listed on the cover.....I wish they would have said this on the description before I purchased from this publisher.

Summary: A trek down Memory Lane 2007-10-23
Comment: Brother Dave was going strong many years ago when I was a teenager. I recently happened to think of the LP's my friends and I used to listen to in those days so I checked with Amazon to see if they were available on CD. I know that his recordings are very politically incorrect these days but I ordered anyway. I don't mean any disrespect to anybody but I need a good laugh when I can find one.

Summary: Funny, but... 2007-08-06
Comment: I used to listen to these on vinyl with my dad, so I thought they'd make a great gift for Father's Day. They are still funny, though as an adult I'm more aware of the political incorrectness of some of the skits. I guess you have to take into consideration when it was recorded.

Summary: The Funniest Man I Ever Got To Meet Back Stage! 2006-06-08
Comment: The Very Best of Brother Dave has to be the best you've ever heard. I was very fortunate to get to meet with him backstage after a performance in Columbus, Georgia. It was during Viet Nam and he came for us soldiers. The U. S. Army Infantry Center at Fort Benning was nearby. Before going into the Army I had purchased every record he had put on the market and listened to them so often that I could say each word on each album, word for word, just a split second before Dave would say them on the recording. My first opportunity to see him live was in my hometime of Jacksonville, Florida. He was unbelievable! But, when I saw him perform in Columbus and then was able to speak with him afterwards backstage made that night unbelievable. He was very warm and gracious. Not knowing it would be the last time I would see him alive, made it even a more special time in my life. His humor had a lot of current event material in it and his language was always clean. There will never be another Brother Dave Gardner!!
