Ultimate Grammy Collection: Classic Country

I expected to hear live Grammy performances from the last 50 years. Instead, all of the songs were the original recordings and all were from the same time period - the 1960's.

This is a nice collection of Grammy award winning country songs. In the CD booklet it explains that this is a series of Grammy winners celebrating the 50th year of that award.
The songs included are the simple award winning country songs, but they do not cover the 50 years, nor are the reason these specific songs are chosen. They are sung by the original artists, and they are the original recordings from the years 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1980. Some years are represented by more than one song.

The premise of the CD is good and the sound is good, it's just confusing what and why is on the recording.
