Summary: Must buy for your collection 2005-12-02
Comment: This is one of the CD's I usually recommend to folks either wanting to start out on a zydeco collection, or as guaranteed hit if giving as a gift. Its hard to miss with this on.
Zydeco lyrics can sometimes be less enjoyable than the infectious music itself, so in this case, that layer is removed.
This is a good cross-section of the better Zydeco performers out there. Whoever picked this selection of songs knew what they were doing.
My favorite is "Blues in June" by Rockin' Sidney. Its a slow blues tune, unlike most of the others, but is definitely a keeper that I might not have run across otherwise.
